Brewing news China: Anheuser-Busch to promote Harbin beer in China this year

Anheuser-Busch (AB) revealed at the beginning of April that it would vigorously promote Harbin beer in China this year, SinoCast Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge posted on Apirl 6.

At present, Harbin beer has gained good reputation among Chinese consumers since it was launched into the market initially.

In 2006, Anheuser-Busch brought the number of the beer brands in Chinese market to 10, including two brands"1900" and "Ice Pure" of Harbin Brewery Group Ltd (HK.0249).

The related people disclosed that Anheuser-Busch will use their own sales channels of Budweiser to promote Harbin beer, and slowly promote it according to local market conditions. Presently, the "1900" and "Ice Pure" brands have been sold in both Guangdong and Shanghai, and as an experimental city, whether Nanjing would sell the two products based on the local sales.

Anheuser-Busch has great confidence in the increase potential of Chinese beer market, although the competition among wines, foreign wines and beers become more fiercely.
